You know I sit here and think as publications choose 'people of the year', I sit here in the comfort of my home and think about who I think the real heros are.
The soldiers that defend and protect our country.
Ok this is NOT a post about that I agree with or disagree with the war in the Mid East.
This is a post about the people who are stationed in the Mid East, and around the world at different military installations.
Whether in Iraq, Afghanistan, or a base here in the United States, these are the peopel that I respect and admire, because whether they agree or they disagree with the war, they (most of them) go without question, and they lay down their lives to keep the freedoms we know and love. Many have since the wars on terror started. Every person serving right now, especially, in Iraq or Afghanistan, or in the Mid East in my book should be given the title 'Person of the Year' with a hug and a huge thank you.
That's just my opinion.
While the war may be about politics and oil, and not terror, it doesn't mater what its about, these soldiers are there and they need to know that they are appreciated. They deserve our support, our love and our respect!
And to each and everyone that died giving his life for this great country, I thank you from the bottom of my heart. For protecting the freedoms that we have today.
